Pumpkin Seedlings

Those are pumpkin seeds that I grew.

I put the seeds in a wet napkin.

We put it in a zip-lock bag so the water wouldn't evaporate.

Now I have to put it in a pot with soil.

Blast Off!

Today I built a model rocket!

It has a nose cone, body tube, launch lug, fins, a parachute, and an engine.

It can go 1,100ft high.

I will take a video of the launch and post it on my blog.

Ben Franklin

This week I read about Ben Franklin on my audio books. He discovered electricity he seemed pretty cool!
He also built a miniature tower.

Educate your children to self-control, to the habit of holding passion and prejudice and evil tendencies subject to an upright and reasoning will, and you have done much to abolish misery from their future and crimes from society.
Quote by Benjamin Franklin

Cam Again

Today I read (with a tape) - Cam Jansen and the Birthday Mystery.

It was about stolen presents and suitcases.

Cam used her amazing memory to help catch the thief.

Book Report

Today I read this book ↑.

It was about a girl with an amazing memory.

She remembers everything and helps solves mysteries.

This book actually wasn't about fudge. It was about a bank robber.

I read all 58 pages by myself - without any help from a CD or from my parents!

Bananagrams Letters

I made another graph yesterday.

I took all the Bananagrams tiles and counted how many there were of each letter.

We knew that we were missing one.

And we found out that it was an "E" because we only had 17 - instead of 18.

Quarters

I filled out most of the map.

But I still need Mississippi, District of Columbia, US Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, New Mexico, Wyoming, Kansas, and Nevada for my state quarter collection.

My Nana says she is 29 years old. Her birthday is next week.

But my DAD is 35 years old.

My First Chart

Today I made a graph.

I rolled my poker dice 20 times and I counted how many 9s, 10s, Jacks, Queens, Kings, Aces, and Jokers I got.

As you can see, I got more Jokers than anything else. And I didn't roll any 10s.

This is called a bar graph.

Poker

Those are poker dice. ↑

I asked my Dad to teach me how to play poker, but he said it was too hard.

I kept asking, he kept saying "no", but finally said, "okay".

He remembered that he had some poker dice as a kid.

So we went to my Nana's house to get them; she NEVER throws anything away.

In the first game I played, I took all my Dad's money - $1.
